ROUNDTABLE FORMAT

WE’RE GOING TO USE A GLAMOROUSLY TITLED “INTERACTIVE ROUNDTABLE SEATING FORMAT” AT THE EVENT AND ADAPT THE AGENDA AROUND IT. HERE’S A WHAT AND WHY EXPLANATION:

What is it?

Instead of ramming in as many seats as possible into the conference room, which is tempting as it’s more economical for us as the organizers, we’re going to lay the conference room out like a wedding reception (as opposed to a wedding ceremony).
Throughout the day we’ll have scheduled “roundtable discussions” which will give you a chance to actually interact with your peers. Fancy that – you’re actually going to meet new people and not just talk to people you already know.

Why do we do it like this?

Admitted we’re all students at the University of Life, but that doesn’t mean you have to sit in a room and be lectured to all day. Instead, we want the presentations to fuel discussions and networking. Therefore, having a seating format and tailored agenda means that you can interact with your peers. Learning from presentations is a key element of any conference, but developing business relationships is vitally important in terms of delivering you a return on your time and money investment.

What’s it (not) like?

You’re not sat with one person either side of you, struggling to stay awake after lunch. You’re going to be sat with up to 11 key industry stakeholders, all with different areas of expertise and experience. Following informative and thought-provoking presentations, you’ll be requested to interact directly with your peers to discuss the proceedings and form discussions points.

What’s the result?

We use this format at all of our events and the response has been phenomenal – attendees love it. It offers you the chance to develop your personal network and not feel awkward doing it. You’re actively encouraged to meet people.

This format will multiply the quality of your event experience – simply put it will deliver better value for you.
