Mark is in charge of mobile app marketing at AMC Theatres, the world’s largest cinema company.

Before joining AMC Theatres Mark was Product Owner for Mobile at iModules Software, managing the roadmap and release of native iPhone and Android apps.


Derek Rhodes

Manager, Innovation & Strategy, Miami HEAT

Derek Rhodes is the Manager of Innovation & Strategy for the Miami HEAT. This year, the Miami HEAT became the first franchise in the NBA to be mobile-only entry, requiring guests to enter using a smartphone. In his role, Derek sets and manages the communication and marketing strategy for this project, and champions new ways to engage fans through mobile and digital experiences.

Prior to joining the HEAT, Derek was a Team Lead at Google’s Creative Lab in NYC where he worked on a range of projects for Google, including enhancements to Google Photos and YouTube. He graduated from Duke University with a degree in Public Policy Studies and a minor in Political Science.


Scott Schmidt

Head of Growth & Acquisition, Stash Invest

Scott has been in mobile app marketing for over 6 years now, working on the agency side, starting his own agency (PIVMO) and now on the brand side at Stash Invest. He currently runs Growth and Acquisition at Stash Invest, a platform that simplifies investing for Americans with only $5 to get started.

Scott excels at connecting strategy, data and automation to drive best in class acquisition tactics with personalized product and CRM experiences. He is now looking at robotics and AI to bring greater value to mobile UA and digital advertising in general.


Trish Mikita

Vice President, Digital Media Strategy, AccuWeather

Trish Mikita is Vice President, Digital Media Strategy for AccuWeather, focusing on the development and strategy of AccuWeather’s award-winning applications and AccuWeather.com digital media products. With a background in meteorology, she understands how to best communicate weather information and its global impact through AccuWeather’s digital properties so people can plan their lives, protect their business, and get more from their day.

AccuWeather, with global headquarters in State College, PA, now reaches over 1.5 billion people worldwide every day through smart phones, tablets, wired and mobile internet sites, radio, television, newspapers and the new AccuWeather Network cable channel, in addition to serving more than 240 of the Fortune 500 companies and thousands of other businesses.

Trish joined AccuWeather as a Meteorologist in 2000 and has advanced to several key leadership positions during her tenure with the company. Before her current role, Trish was overseeing all digital media products and operations and helped to grow the digital audience to over 300 million monthly users. She was Director of Strategic Operations, managing global strategic initiatives within AccuWeather business lines and its subsidiaries. In this role, she helped to launch the AccuWeather Network cable channel in record time, leading the organization cross-functionally across operations, news video, IT, advertising, vendor partners, and distributors to deliver the company’s first national 24/7 All Weather, All the Time Network.

Trish previously led platform development as Director of Digital Media Content Operations. Overseeing the online journalists, social media teams, on camera broadcasters, and technical staff, she managed the full scope of the weather news editorial strategy while facilitating the vision for the product.

Trish holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology from Penn State University and lives in State College, PA, with her husband and daughter.


Simon Lejeune

Head of User Acquisition, Hopper

Simon is the Head of User Acquisition at Hopper. Hopper is the #1 most installed travel booking app in the US, surpassing travel giants like Expedia and Booking.com.

With a strong focus on automation and prioritization, Simon has built a small technical team that is able to execute hyper targeted campaigns at scale across the largest UA channels.

Prior to joining Hopper Simon was the marketing director at Busbud, the largest bus travel booking website in the world, where his team won multiple awards for their SEO & SEM strategies.


Tarush Agarwal

Head of Partnerships & Business Development, Toca Boca

Tarush is the Head of Business Development and Partnerships at Toca Boca, the No. 1 mobile-first kids brand in the App Store. Based in San Francisco, he is responsible for managing and growing the company’s digital presence and revenue through strategic partnerships globally.

Prior to Toca Boca, Tarush led business development for the Walt Disney Company in Los Angeles and New York.


Jennifer Jordan

Executive Producer, Content, Babbel

Jen is executive producer of content at Babbel, the #1 selling language-learning app in the world. Previously, she led content and community efforts at NYC-based startups Schoology and Conductor. She’s enough of a millennial to use snapchat today with the same friends she grew up chatting with on AIM.


Fabien-Pierre Nicolas

Head of US Marketing, SmartNews

Fabien-Pierre Nicolas is responsible for US marketing & growth at SmartNews, the award-winning, addictively simple mobile news app loved by millions.

Previously he was Vice President of Marketing at App Annie, General Manager of Mobile at Perfect World, and working at DeNA West leading the marketing teams to scale mobile hits such as Rage of Bahamut and Marvel War of Heroes. He holds an MBA and BA from Grenoble School of Management in France.


Dave Bell

Co-Founder & CEO, Gummicube

Dave Bell is the Co-Founder and CEO of Gummicube. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing the business strategy for the company, driving growth and market development.

Dave is a pioneer of the mobile entertainment industry with more than 15 years of experience publishing, marketing and distributing mobile applications and games across carriers, direct to consumers and via app store channels.


John McClelland

Chief Product Officer, Dubsmash

John is responsible for product and engineering at Dubsmash, the fast-growing video messaging app with over 175 million users in more than 100 countries.

Prior to joining Dubsmash John founded two startups and held senior roles at Groupon and McKinsey & Company. A self-taught iOS developer, he is bad at Objective-C and worse at Swift.


Mirela Cialai

Global Digital Marketing Specialist, Zinio

Mirela is an award-nominated global digital marketing specialist with 15+ years of solid B2C and B2B experience, leading global digital strategy & partnerships within multinational eCommerce environments spanning EMEA, APAC, NORAM and LATAM.

Since joining Zinio, the first and largest global digital newsstand, Mirela has been responsible for driving marketing strategies, leading business development efforts and driving partner revenue growth worldwide. Her work has earned several consecutive nominations from media bodies such as the British Media Awards, and promotions with each professional position.


Adam Hadi

VP of Marketing, QUidd

Adam Hadi is the VP of Marketing at Quidd and a user acquisition consultant in New York City. He helps apps with overall marketing strategy and spend while specializing in influencer marketing.

Previously, Adam was the Head of Marketing at Draft and led user acquisition at Topps Digital after spending several years as an economist for the Bureau of Labor Statistics. He earned an MA in Applied Economics from Johns Hopkins University and a BA in Economics from Binghamton University.


Andrew Birnbryer

MANAGING DIRECTOR, AMERICAS, AppLift

Andrew Birnbryer is the Managing Director of North and South America at AppLift where he oversees AppLift’s User Acquisition & Performance Advertising business operations across the US and LatAm offices. His primary goal is cementing AppLift’s place as an industry leader across both continents. As AppLift’s primary public speaker, his tenacity and comprehensive experience accredits Andrew as a thought leader in the mobile advertising space.

Andrew was previously Senior Vice President of User Acquisition and Advertiser Business Development and the Director of Global Business Development, responsible for expanding the international market and growing AppLift’s traffic supply.

Upon joining the company in 2013, he was responsible for opening and growing the US office. Andrew is a proud Golden Bear, graduating from UC Berkeley with a BA in Economics. Prior to joining AppLift, Andrew was the youngest Vice President of City National Bank. He is an enthusiastic gamer and avid freestyle skier.


Elyse Burack

Marketing Director, Boxed

Elyse Burack is the Director of Integrated Marketing at Boxed. In her role, she oversees the day-to-day marketing strategy across channels. Specifically, she is responsible for building and establishing the Boxed brand; connecting various initiatives across strategic growth pillars for the organization; integrating closely with the creative team; and ensuring all marketing programs are supporting larger business goals within the company.

Prior to Boxed, Elyse was a Senior Consultant at Interbrand leading brand strategy projects for a number of clients including AT&T, UPS, YP and Pfizer. Elyse started her career in market research with CTPartners and then Coleman Research Group. She graduated with honors from Lehigh University with a BA in Political Science and Psychology.


Ori Klein

Senior Vice President, Growth, Via

Ori is the Senior Vice President of Growth at Via, a tech startup building the next generation of on-demand urban transit, using big data and real-time route optimization.

In his role, Ori is responsible for driving user growth, engagement, and revenue, by leading initiatives at the intersection of product, data, marketing, and partnerships.

Previously, Ori was with McKinsey & Co, working with tech companies on growth strategy, data driven marketing, and data-enabled operations. Prior to McKinsey, Ori served 11 years in the Israel military and government as part of IDF’s Talpiot program, where he led large-scale cyber security projects. Ori holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BSc. in Math and Physics from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.


Alexei Chemenda

Chief Revenue Officer for Apps & Managing Director USA, Adikteev

Alexei Chemenda is the US Managing Director USA of Adikteev Group, and the company’s Chief Revenue Officer for Apps. Adikteev is a mobile marketing company, driven by a machine learning technology, offering answers all along the conversion funnel: branding, performance, users acquisition and retention.

Alexei joined Adikteev in 2015 following its acquisition of MotionLead, a company he co-founded. MotionLead is a Y Combinator-backed ad tech company that helps advertisers grow their audience.

He splits his time every month between Berlin, New York and Paris where Adikteev is located.


Josh Fenn

Senior Business Development Manager, Baidu

Josh Fenn is senior BD manager at Baidu’s California office. In this role, he works with mobile developers and publishers to drive partnerships for Baidu’s global ad platform, DU Ad Platform. Josh is also responsible for bridging Baidu’s US and Chinese teams on international business strategy for its B2C apps including DU Recorder and ES File Explorer.

Josh holds a Masters of Journalism from Hong Kong University and a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University. Before moving to California, Josh lived in Beijing for nine years and worked for Baidu, the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Science Magazine. He speaks, reads and writes Mandarin Chinese at a professional working level.


Sabrina Gao

Head of Direct Marketing, Dashlane

Sabrina is the Head of Direct Marketing at Dashlane, the world’s best password manager and secure digital wallet.

Sabrina joined Dashlane from Zipcar, where she managed the company’s digital media budget and was responsible for membership growth in all Zipcar’s North American markets.

Prior to that, Sabrina held multiple marketing positions at Sallie Mae and Upromise, the leading college savings program. As Director of Digital Marekting at Sallie Mae, she expanded their private student loan marketing into social media and display and led a cross-functional team to create an in-house ad serving engine that later became a key acquisition source for Sallie Mae.

Sabrina studied international business at Beijing University of Chemical Technology and received her M.A. in Economics from Tufts University.


Bolong Li

Director, Acquisition/Growth Marketing, Audible

Bolong currently leads the customer acquisition team at Amazon’s Audible. His team focuses on getting new members though various channels, including the fast growing mobile apps. He was also responsible for engagement and retention at Audible before his current role.

Prior to Audible, Bolong worked at Apple and one of Goldman Sach’s joint ventures. He obtained a master’s degree from NYU in Financial Engineering, and a certificate in Business Excellence from Columbia Business School.


Olivier Verdin

CEO & Co-Founder, AppTweak

Olivier is the CEO & Co-Founder of AppTweak, empowering app developers and marketers with tools and techniques to improve their app store visibility, increase app rankings and drive organic downloads. Founded in 2011 and headquartered in Brussels, AppTweak manages over 400 accounts in more than 40 countries, including Rocket Internet, FoodPanda, Zalando, Samsung, LinkedIn, Etsy, Merkle, RunKeeper, S4M and Foodora.

He is also the Co-Founder of Wooclap, a user-friendly application to engage live audiences, and 87 Seconds, a creative and dedicated motion design platform.

Olivier acts as a Business Angel at Qualifio and is a Coach in Entrepreneurship at the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management.


Shamanth Rao

VP Growth & User Acquisition, FreshPlanet

Shamanth is an experienced mobile growth leader with 2 exits under his belt. Currently VP of Growth & User Acquisition at FreshPlanet, he has driven growth for Bash Gaming (acquired by GSN Games), PuzzleSocial (acquired by Zynga), and Crosswords With Friends (Zynga).

Shamanth also hosts the How Things Grow podcast that features stories of growth trajectories of companies, technologies and economic systems.


Becky Peterson

Senior Analyst, Digital Marketing, Walgreens

Becky Peterson leads App Store Optimization and Photo SEO efforts for Walgreens. She works closely with teams across the organization (including Product, Creative and Content teams) to advance the organic visibility for the award-winning Walgreens mobile app and leads key SEO eCommerce initiatives across Walgreens digital interests.

Becky is originally from Chicago and attended Loyola University Chicago.


Thomas Twigg

CSO & Co-Founder, The ASO Co

Thomas has a decade of experience in digital marketing, the past 6 years focused solely on mobile.

Prior to launching The ASO Co Thomas was Head of Strategy at M&C Saatchi Mobile, where he led global mobile strategies for the likes of Microsoft, Amazon, JUST EAT, MixRadio, Time Out, Zoopla and John Lewis. In this role he covered everything from acquisition strategy, customer and market research, and ASO.


Matthew Sadofsky

Director of Growth Marketing, Tilting Point

Matt leads the paid media strategy for Tilting Point, a mobile app growth partner with expertise in development, publishing and user acquisition. With prior UA experience in the social/dating app industry at SNAP Interactive (now PeerStream), Matt has a deep passion for user acquisition and technology.

When not working, Matt enjoys finding the best hipster coffee shop in Williamsburg or recording voice-overs in his home studio.


Esther Hwang

Director of Growth, Poshmark

Esther is Director of Growth at Poshmark, the largest social mobile marketplace for fashion where anyone can buy, sell, and share their wardrobe with others. In her role, she specializes in mobile app user acquisition and paid growth.

Esther has been in the B2C digital marketing space for various verticals, from online dating to eCommerce, and enjoys geeking out about attribution models.


James Bott

CEO & Co-Founder, The ASO Co

James has over a decade of digital and mobile marketing experience. He is currently CEO & Co-Founder of The ASO Co, the world’s leading App Store Optimization agency. The ASO Co counts eBay, Spotify, Walmart, Sephora, Trivago, Twitter, Lifesum and many others as their clients. All work is focused on improving visibility, conversion rates and organic growth within the app stores globally.

Prior to founding The ASO Co, James was Director of Global Business Development at a leading performance focused mobile media agency. Here he led the commercial team working directly with many clients including Alibaba, OpenTable, Skyscanner and others on acquisition, retention and monetization strategies.

Previous to this, James founded, ran and sold two successful eCommerce businesses in the retail and entertainment space.


Wilson Kriegel

Wilson is the Chief Business Officer of PicsArt, the largest mobile creator and community platform with over 100 million MAU, who through 3,000 editing & social creative tools produce nearly 1 billion edited images, remixes & stickers, monthly.

Wilson was previously an executive at 6 funded startups in online & mobile games and social media.


Zoe Soon

General Manager, Apps and Email, Business Insider

Zoe is responsible for Business Insider’s native app products across iOS and Android platforms. This involves defining and deploying experiences that drive engagement and revenue by finding the ‘sweet spot’ between user needs, market opportunity, business goals and design/technology solutions.

Prior to Business Insider Zoe held senior product roles at Condé Nast, Fairfax Media and The New York Times.


Dennis Garayalde

Mobile Product Manager, Miami HEAT

Dennis joined the HEAT organization last year to lead the redesign and relaunch of the Miami HEAT app. He has over 15 years of experience in the IT industry, with a record of successfully leading, managing and delivering technology projects and infrastructure deployments.

Dennis has worked in product management for NCR, The Channel Company and Phunware, where he launched and maintained multiple apps.


Arsen Pereymer

COO, Healthify

Arsen is a serial entrepreneur with a proven track record in building successful, profitable and highly valued app companies. Since 2008, Arsen has published over 400 apps that have amassed millions of downloads, reached the top charts, been featured by Apple & Google, and been profitable. Several of Arsen’s apps have reached #1 in the App Store in over 40 countries, including the USA.


Tommy Yannopoulos

Senior Account Executive, Remerge

Tommy Yannopoulos is a seasoned marketing and sales executive with a demonstrated history within adtech of developing, planning, and executing successful activations across all disciplines of media, especially mobile.

As a Senior Account Executive at Remerge, he is dedicated to providing the world’s most efficient and scalable app-to-app retargeting platform for his clients.


Arielle Vogelstein

Growth Principal, Via

Arielle heads growth at Via, an app delivering on-demand transit on a mass scale. Currently live in NYC, Chicago and Washington D.C., Via is backed by some of the world’s top investors and aggressively expanding.

Prior to joining Via Arielle led user acquisition at SpotHero, North America’s leading parking reservation service.


James Cooper

Chairman, App Promotion Summit

James co-founded App Promotion Summit in 2013. Previously, he was The Guardian’s Head of Strategy and worked as a strategy consultant to the world’s leading media and telecoms organisations.

James holds a BA in History from the London School of Economics and an MA in Management from Durham University.


Rory Mudie

CEO, Redbox Mobile

Rory has over 20 years of experience at the commercial coalface of mobile and advertising. Having worked at This is Global, BBC and Vodafone in a sales capacity, Rory’s understanding of technology has been directly linked with the delivery of new commercial formats, ranging from the first popup banner ads at beeb.com to a pizza being bought on a mobile phone and charging your phone bill.

Rory founded Redbox Mobile, a full-service ASO agency with over 30 employees and offices in London and New York, in 2013. Redbox Mobile delivers every aspect of ASO, from app preview video, metadata and scripting to icon/screenshot design, ratings and reviews, link building and A/B testing.

Rory has a Degree in Business and Marketing from Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, Scotland.


Joli Barretta

Senior Product Specialist, Adjust

Joli is a Senior Product Specialist at Adjust. With a background in account management, she promotes a human-centered approach to building new products.

Avneesh Kohli

Senior Product Manager, Foursquare

Avneesh leads the team that builds Swarm, Foursquare’s app that acts as a journal for capturing your travels.

Before joining Foursquare Avneesh was a Product Manager at Microsoft, driving the roadmap and apps integration initiative for Outlook on iOS and Android.


Sam Chapman

Mobile App Marketing Expert, Google

Sam Chapman is a mobile expert who helps top brands develop relationships with consumers during the moments that matter. As a leader on Google’s App Marketing team he helps marketers understand the impact mobile can have on their business and how customer centricity drives real business results.

Before Google, Sam was at Amazon helping marketers leverage Amazon’s world-class personalization technologies to drive both sales and brand awareness on the platform.
