Vince Darley

VP Growth, Deliveroo

Vince Darley is the VP Growth at Deliveroo, a UK tech company focused on delivering your favourite restaurant meals to your door, through a combination of great software, fantastic operations and logistics, and top-notch marketing.

With more than 20 years’ experience in data science, Vince was most recently Chief Scientist at King where he built a team of over 150 data scientists and data engineers working on games such as the global phenomenon Candy Crush Saga. Previously, he was Head of Analytics and Optimisation, Supply Chain and Trading Systems for Ocado, where he was responsible for analytics, modelling, analysis, forecasting and optimisation and focused heavily on building the online retailer’s web analytics capabilities to improve website conversion. Vince was also Founder and CEO of Eurobios, a company that applied complexity science concepts, tools and techniques to business issues. At Eurobios, Vince’s clients included BP, Unilever, Ocado, Post Danmark and Deutsche Post.

Vince holds a Master of Arts and PhD in Complex Systems from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge. He is also a published author, having co-authored ‘A NASDAQ market Simulation: Insights on a Major Market from the Science of Complex Adaptive Systems.’


Maria Bobrowska

Senior European Commercial Manager – Mobile, TUI Group

Maria works in TUI’s internal startup division, which creates apps for all of the company’s source markets: Belgium, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Nordics and the UK. She is responsible for app marketing and commercial return on the advancements introduced into the apps, including strategy crafting, execution and coordination with the markets.

Maria has led numerous mobile initiatives related to improving i-resort experience including hotel check-in, wearables and activities overview across TUI Group portfolio of hotels. Her main objective is to ensure the adequate mobile proposition is in place across the group’s portfolio to ease, satisfy and anticipate customers’ needs. At the same time she is an advocate of mobile change across the business.

  


Thiago Monteiro

Head of Mobile Marketing, Treatwell

Working in digital marketing for more than six years, Thiago has a vast experience in multiple disciplines of paid media ranging from display to social paid advertising.

For the past two years he has led the mobile marketing team at Treatwell that focuses solely on growing the customer base of the Treatwell app, which has been called “like Uber for beauty” by birdie.co.uk. This growth entails increasing the number of downloads whilst ensuring that activation from new customers remains at least 15%.

Thiago has faced the challenge of entering new markets across seven European countries to deliver an integrated online and offline strategy whilst maintaining the BAU performance of the traditional paid channels delivering a strong ROI for the app.


Felix Meissner

Account Manager, EMEA, Global Marketing Solutions, Facebook

Felix is Account Manager, EMEA, Global Marketing Solutions at Facebook.

Before joining Facebook Felix acted as an analyst at Seedcamp, Europe’s leading seed stage investment fund and mentoring program.


Mirela Cialai

Global Digital Marketing Manager, Zinio

Mirela is an award-nominated global digital marketing specialist with 15+ years of solid B2C and B2B experience, leading global digital strategy & partnerships within multinational eCommerce environments spanning EMEA, APAC, NORAM and LATAM.

Since joining Zinio, the first and largest global digital newsstand, Mirela has been responsible for driving marketing strategies, leading business development efforts and driving partner revenue growth worldwide. Her work has earned several consecutive nominations from media bodies such as the British Media Awards, and promotions with each professional position.


Gadi Eliashiv

CEO & Co-Founder, Singular

Gadi started programming his own software at the early age of 12 and eventually led a team of technologists for 8200, the most elite intelligence unit of the Israeli army.

Prior to Singular, Gadi was Head of Research at Onavo, a mobile analytics company acquired by Facebook in 2013.

When not coding or focused on all things Singular, Gadi has been known to enjoy particularly dirty martinis.


Ryan Hanna

VP of Product & Engineering, Sworkit

Ryan began teaching himself to code online in 2012 and grew his side project into a top Health and Fitness app with over 25 million downloads and 50 million workouts completed. Sworkit’s first 10 million downloads came without spending a dime on marketing or advertising.

Ryan is also a co-organizer of codebar.io in Brighton, England.


Carl Martin

Founder, Wurqs

Carl has been building and launching mobile products his whole career, including as Head of Mobile at luxury retailer Burberry, and as Business Lead at the New York outpost of digital product studio ustwo.

Now, as founder of Wurqs – a personal development community for young professionals – he flexes the diversity of his skills across product, business, brand and marketing.


Fiona Sellick

UK Marketing Director, TodayTix

Fiona oversees the marketing strategy for TodayTix, the first and only free app that provides access to the best prices on last-minute theatre tickets, booked same-day or within a week’s time.

Prior to TodayTix, Fiona held senior roles at agencies including STEEL London and 360 Degrees Advertising.


Christoph Gerber

CEO & Founder, Talon.One

Christoph is the founder and CEO of Talon.One, a powerful API that enables businesses to build the most advanced incentivized marketing campaigns in the world.

Prior to Talon.One, Christoph founded food delivery service Lieferando. He sold Lieferando to Takeaway.com for €100 million in 2014.

He is also a co-founder of RapidApe, a service that analyses and monitors the success of TV campaigns to understand the relationship between TV and web. The German mass media company ProSiebenSat.1 acquired RapidApe in 2015.


Dennis Werner

Performance Marketing Lead, Wunder Carpool

Dennis is responsible for mobile acquisition at Wunder, with a strong focus on Facebook. Wunder is the most convenient way to share the everyday commute through carpooling. The company is mainly focused on emerging markets like Manila, Philippines.

Before joining the online marketing team at Wunder, Dennis studied the point of sales in his co­founded B2B startup. Furthermore, he engaged users for Airbnb through different community and brand projects.


Dan Ziv

Chief Product Officer, Touchnote

Dan has been Chief Product Officer at Touchnote, the world’s most popular postcard-sending service, since 2016. Started in 2008 in London, Touchnote’s iOS and Android apps have been downloaded by over 3 million customers.

Previously, Dan co-founded Uncover, the award-winning premium restaurant reservation app, which was acquired by Velocity in 2015. Prior to that, he was an M&A lawyer in the technology sector, in addition to roles at PayPal Europe in Paris and VC fund Index Ventures in London.

Dan is an advisor and board member in several early and late stage startups, mentors at Techstars London and is a founding member of Founders of the Future. Dan completed his MBA at London Business School.


Lea Hartkopf

Head of Marketing, busuu

Lea Hartkopf is Head of Marketing at busuu, the language-learning app with a global community of over 65 million language learners. She and her team are obsessed with acquisition, growth hacking, CRM and customer service across busuu’s global markets.

Prior to busuu, Lea worked for Trainline, PayPal and Universal Music.


Gary MacDonough

Evangelist, Branch

Gary is Branch’s Evangelist in Western Europe. He spearheads Branch’s expansion initiatives in countries like the UK, Germany, Spain and France. Gary works to support companies big and small to integrate Branch and get the most out of its deep linking platform so they can accelerate their mobile growth.

Prior to Branch, Gary founded his own double dating app, aptly named Double. Along with his cofounders, he grew the app using Branch features to over 180k users and also secured investment on the BBC’s Dragons Den. He started his career in eCommerce, selling everything from shampoo to Christmas sweaters.


David Iwanow

Director of Strategy, BlueGlass

It’s been almost 10 years since David first entered the search industry and he can now be found based in London with BlueGlass as the director of strategy working, with clients such as WorldRemit, Expedia, OKA, Better Gyms, JD Sports, Pottery Barn and RAC.

Prior to his recent career move he was working with eBay Classifieds Group as SEO Product Manager for 3 years, looking after the Benelux region. During this time David developed a strong interesting in ASO, App-Indexing and mobile websites (responsive & AMP) as he has seen the future of search relies on a holistic strategy that centres around mobile. He loves a good technical problem and being able to forecast and measure the impacts of SEO does make him happy.


Judy Groom

Director, round-abouts

Having spent most of her career in investment banking and corporate communications, Judy has now turned her hand to app development and is a founding director of round-abouts.

Together with Estera Sutton, Co-Founder and Creative Director, they launched the app in June 2017 and are about to embark on their promotional campaign.

Available on both iOS and Android, round-abouts is the app that discreetly tells you whose plans are going to overlap with yours, meaning you’ll never miss an opportunity to meet!


James Bott

CEO & Co-Founder, The ASO Co

James has over a decade of digital and mobile marketing experience. He is currently CEO & Co-Founder of The ASO Co, the world’s leading App Store Optimization agency. The ASO Co counts eBay, Spotify, Walmart, Sephora, Western Union, King, Expedia and many others as their clients. All work is focused on improving visibility, conversion rates and organic growth within the app stores globally.

Prior to founding The ASO Co, James was Director of Global Business Development at M&C Saatchi Mobile, a performance focused mobile media agency. While there he led the commercial team working directly with many clients including Alibaba, OpenTable, Skyscanner and others on acquisition, retention and monetization strategies.

Before M&C Saatchi Mobile, James founded, ran and sold two successful eCommerce businesses in the retail and entertainment space.


Angela Tang

Marketing Director, Syft App

After 5 years of digital marketing experience in Hong Kong and an MA in Digital Humanities at King’s College London, Angela joined Laundrapp, one of the fastest growing startups in the UK. She spent over 2 years with Laundrapp as Head of Marketing and grew the company’s revenue with performance marketing since its launch. Laundrapp was chosen as App of the Year at the 2016 Startups Awards.

Angela now oversees the marketing department at Syft, a job marketplace app for hospitality temp jobs and employers, with a focus on user acquisition for both B2B and B2C.


Shumel Lais

CEO & Founder, Appsumer

Shumel is the Founder and CEO of Appsumer. He has over 7 years of app marketing experience, being fortunate enough to have started his career at the beginning of the smartphone boom.

Shumel has worked at two of the largest global mobile media agencies, where he managed marketing for 40+ brands and executed campaigns across 30+ countries. This depth of experience coupled with his background in design and development (since the age of 15) gave him a unique recipe to build a solution that tackles a challenge faced by all modern day performance marketers.


Morgan Monnet

Partner Manager, Facebook

Morgan is a passionate storyteller and digital marketing specialist with over 6 years of digital marketing and project/crisis management experience.

In his role as Partner Manager, Morgan helps businesses grow using Facebook and Instagram.


Cally Russell

CEO, Mallzee

Cally is passionate about creating a global eCommerce brand that pushes boundaries and creates a shopping experience that changes how people shop on mobile. He founded Mallzee to deliver this mission and make finding great clothes easier.

Mallzee is the leading multi-retailer shopping app in the UK. It has raised over £5M from a range of backers and has nearly 1 million users across the world.

Last year Cally was selected by Forbes as one of their ‘30 under 30’ for Europe.


Ekaterina Makarova

App Measurement Lead EMEA, Google

Ekaterina is Google’s App Measurement Lead for EMEA.

Prior to joining Google Ekaterina was in charge of acquisition and retention at mobile game publisher Zillion Whales, and managed mobile product marketing strategy at Nevosoft.


Ben Scott-Robinson

Founder, The Small Robot Company

Ben Scott-Robinson is a digital innovator. He is the founder of The Small Robot Company, a startup specialising in robotics and AI.

 Previously, Ben ran Ordnance Survey’s internal agency creating beautiful products and campaigns with the world’s best maps. This included the award winning Resilience Direct product for the Cabinet Office; the Momo Commended OS Locate mobile app; and OS Maps – the integrated leisure mapping application for exploring the great British outdoors.

He is also the tutor on mobile and social strategy for Google’s Squared Online digital innovator course, running live remote classes for up to 120 people. As well as this, Ben has founded two agencies, two consultancies, an app start-up and a phone for blind people.

Ben has held the role of Creative Director, Experience Director, Head of Innovation, and Head of Brilliant. He has been in the Drum Magazine’s Mobile Top 50 for two years running, and in 2014 was #23 in the Digerati Top 100.

But it’s not all talk. Ben does like to get his hands dirty creating user experiences and conceptual creative for products and interactive brand narratives as well. Over the years he have built brands, campaigns, apps, sites, games, and a bottle opener that looked like a submarine.


Nick Duddy

Founder, Miratrix

Nick Duddy is the founder of Miratrix and has spent over 10 years understanding search engines and how they work for the benefit of his clients. In 2013 he turned his eye to App Store Optimization and organic mobile growth and hasn’t looked back.

Nick also currently holds a research post at UCL researching the Google Play Store and Apple App Store algorithms.


Robert Kelly

Business Development Director – Europe, Mobvista

Robert recently joined Mobvista as their Business Development Director for Europe.

Previously, he held senior roles at Appreciate, S4M, PapayaMobile/AppFlood and Mojiva.


Olivier Verdin

CEO & Co-Founder, AppTweak

Olivier is the CEO & Co-Founder of AppTweak, empowering app developers and marketers with tools and techniques to improve their app store visibility, increase app rankings and drive organic downloads. Founded in 2011 and headquartered in Brussels, AppTweak manages over 400 accounts in more than 40 countries, including Rocket Internet, FoodPanda, Zalando, Samsung, LinkedIn, Etsy, Merkle, RunKeeper, S4M and Foodora.

He is also the Co-Founder of Wooclap, a user-friendly application to engage live audiences, and 87 Seconds, a creative and dedicated motion design platform.

Olivier acts as a Business Angel at Qualifio and is a Coach in Entrepreneurship at the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management.


Theo Ohene

Head of Growth, Splittable

Theo is a growth marketer with experience across all the AARRR metrics. He has experience working for VC-backed startups in San Francisco, Las Vegas and London. He’s also a self-taught web developer who enjoys playing around with APIs.

Theo currently leads growth at Splittable, a mobile app that helps young renters to help manage and share household expenses.


Peggy Anne Salz

Lead Analyst & Founder, MobileGroove

Peggy Anne Salz is the Lead Analyst and Founder of MobileGroove, providing analysis, custom research and strategic content marketing to the global mobile industry, and mentoring and consulting to tech startups.

She has written 9 books about mobile, including The Everything Guide To Mobile Apps (published by F+W).


Adam Turowski

Head of User Acquisition, Peak Labs

Adam has been working in the mobile space for the past 5 years with experience on the DSP side at LiquidM and the advertiser side at Lamudi, a Rocket Internet venture.

He now heads the user acquisition team at Peak, the leading brain-training app on mobile. The team is responsible for the growth of the company and managing marketing budgets. The latest initiatives on the user acquisition side at Peak involve automating optimisation efforts and diversifying user acquisition channels.


Jakub Chour

Senior Mobile Marketing Manager, AppAgent

With a background in IT, Jakub got into online marketing in 2008. After managing huge campaigns in-agency and “full-stack” campaigns for Jobs.cz, the biggest Czech job-board, he switched to mobile acquisition and retention at Liftago, the Czech Uber competitor.

He recently joined AppAgent, a mobile-only marketing agency.


Sharon Anne Kean

Product Director, Bloom & Wild

Sharon is currently the Product Director at Bloom & Wild, building best-in-class user experience and technology that powers flower delivery. It’s a cool idea – beautiful flowers through the letterbox, ordered in under a minute via your digital device of choice.

She has worked for both small and large organisations across a variety of sectors. Sharon is interested in how people think, feel and do, and applying this to the design of technology, products and services that solve genuine problems and user needs.

Since getting involved with the London’s exciting and ambitious start-up scene Sharon has found it hard to imagine returning to a larger organisation. She doesn’t wear a suit and would never work somewhere that frowned upon jeans and trainers.


Thomas Twigg

CSO & Co-Founder, The ASO Co

Thomas has a decade of experience in digital marketing, the past 5 years focused solely on mobile.

Prior to launching The ASO Co Thomas was Head of Strategy at M&C Saatchi Mobile, where he led global mobile strategies for the likes of Microsoft, Amazon, JUST EAT, MixRadio, Time Out, Zoopla and John Lewis. In this role he covered everything from acquisition strategy, customer and market research, and ASO.


Ben Woolf

CEO & Co-Founder, ANDi

Ben is currently the co-founder and CEO of ANDi, your personal mobile gaming assistant. ANDi has been providing AI-powered game discovery for mobile users since 2016, developing a system that has increased games downloaded per individual and improved the retention of mobile games by over 25% in comparison to other methods so far.

He previously co-ran an award-winning study abroad organisation based out of Chicago, creating more than 500 affiliations in over 34 countries to serve thousands of clients a year.

Ben also sits on the board of the Essex Digital working group, mentors schools and universities through the DWP governmental department, and consults with early-stage startups on business development and operations.


Ritesh Thadani

COO, Pollen VC

As COO, Ritesh heads up the operational part of Pollen Velocity Capital, a fintech company granting developers faster access to their app store revenues, thus enabling them to rapidly reinvest their earnings back into their business.

With over 15 years’ experience in delivering structured finance, working capital and invoice discounting solutions leveraging technology, the triangulation of skill sets between the senior management team has enabled Ritesh to co-create a suite of Pollen services from its global HQ in London that are relevant to the developer community and the wider app economy.


Laurie Galazzo

Inbound Marketing Manager, AppTweak

Laurie is the Inbound Marketing Manager at AppTweak, an online app marketing platform that instantly generates App Store Optimization reports for any apps on the App Store. AppTweak helps app developers and marketers to improve their App Store visibility and get their apps discovered and downloaded.

Laurie’s responsibilities at AppTweak include working on the company’s global communication strategy, content marketing, social media, public relations, acquisition, customer relationship and retention.


Phil Gontier

Vice President of International, Liftoff

Phil is responsible for leading international expansion in EMEA and APAC at Liftoff, a performance-based mobile user acquisition and retargeting technology company. As a 10-year veteran of the mobile ad industry, he has led and scaled multiple mobile-related businesses in new markets.

Before joining Liftoff, Phil served as Head of Mobile for Twitter in EMEA, where he built and led a team focused on servicing the needs of top brands and apps. He joined Twitter through the TapCommerce acquisition, where he served as VP & GM of EMEA. He has also previously held leadership roles at Velti and Jumptap, and consulted for a number of mobile-ad businesses and app startups.


Paul Teresi

Digital Media Executive, Skyscanner

Paul is an experienced digital growth hacker with regional and global experience across the United States and Europe.

Paul is currently based in Edinburgh working with Skyscanner, a leading travel brand, where he is combining scientific experimentation with data-led performance marketing to craft a truly unique strategy for sustainable app user growth for Skyscanner.


Mick Rigby

Founder & CEO, Yodel Mobile

Mick has over 20 years of experience as a strategist in advertising and marketing for big agencies and consultancies. He is the Founder and CEO of Yodel Mobile, a full-service global mobile marketing agency with clients including TravelSupermarket, Evernote, South West Trains, Xendpay, UKTV Play, The Economist Group, mytaxi, PhotoBox, trivago and NBCUniversal.

Mick is one of the most experienced and knowledgeable mobile media buyers in the industry today. He enjoys cricket, indie music and a good book on history.


Charo Paredes Ortiz

Global Head of Organic Acquisition – ASO & SEO, DOCOMO Digital

As Global Head of Organic Acquisition at DOCOMO Digital, Charo is solely responsible for App Store Optimization, SEO & digital analytics. She manages the inbound marketing strategy, design and implementation for all DOCOMO Digital and Thumbspire native apps and web apps in 26 countries worldwide.


Pablo Penny

Consultant, Phiture

Pablo Penny is a consultant at the mobile growth consultancy Phiture. He has conducted ASO for clients such as Skyscanner, Axel Springer and Idagio. He also conducts mobile research to develop more analytical ASO methods and mobile growth strategies.

Pablo holds a PhD in innovation management from the University of Westminster where he researched startups and lectured on entrepreneurship. He has experience in tech and strategy consulting and is passionate about growing startups and other businesses through mobile strategy, data analytics and ASO.


Sam Saares

Senior Manager, ASO & User Acquisition, Rational Group

Sam has 6 years of experience in search marketing at Rational Group, the parent company of the world’s leading poker brand, PokerStars.

With a focus on mobile acquisition strategy and ASO, Sam has been responsible for organic acquisition across all Rational Group apps for the past 4 years.


Denis Terpanov

Business Development, Pollen VC

Denis is passionate about helping developers better understand their performance metrics and use these insights to drive growth.

He has previous experience in investment​ banking and entrepreneurship and decided to enter the app universe after completing his MBA at Cambridge.

Always eager to learn and exchange knowledge, Denis is an email away from a coffee chat or a Skype call.


Marta Ros Urrutia

Head of Product & Growth, B-wom

Marta has been a marketing specialist for 10 years but after completing her masters in Digital Business at ESADE she changed tracks. She ventured into entrepreneurship and launched an online eco baby clothes brand called Kiraw. Marta also co-founded TinkTank, where she helped startups and companies build user-centered products.

Currently, Marta is the Co-Founder of B-wom and acts as Head of Product. By understanding their users’ behaviors, she aims to transform quantitative and qualitative insights into design solutions.

She is also part of the Women in Mobile Council, an initiative aiming to increase the visibility of women in tech.


Alexei Chemenda

Managing Director USA, Adikteev

Alexei Chemenda is the US Managing Director USA of Adikteev Group. Adikteev is a mobile marketing company, driven by a machine learning technology, offering answers all along the conversion funnel: branding, performance, users acquisition and retention.

Alexei joined Adikteev in 2015 following its acquisition of MotionLead, a company he co-founded. MotionLead is a Y Combinator-backed ad tech company that helps advertisers grow their audience.

He splits his time every month between Berlin, New York and Paris where Adikteev is located.


Haris Adu

Founder & CEO, PinU

Haris Adu is the Founder and CEO of PinU, the anti-FOMO app that helps millennials discover when their friends are nearby so that they never miss out again.

He has five years of experience in digital marketing and has previously worked with other London based startups using influencer marketing, social media and email marketing to increase brand awareness, increase downloads and generate revenue.
